The National AGM

Every year the National Federation of Young Farmers Clubs holds an Annual Convention.  The venue for this event alternates between the North and South of England. In 2007 the convention will be held in the South, in the seaside town of Torquay.

As every young farmer will tell you, the AGM is an eagerly awaited event as most of the weekend is taken up by "social commitments!". There is different entertainment everyday and famous faces such as The Wurzels and Radio 1 DJ's are not an unusual sight. All in all its a weekend of serious fun! However, there is a serious side.

The Annual Convention is where the national Annual General Meeting is held, as well as the Agricultural and Rural Affairs Forum - important stuff! The AGM looks back at how successful the YFC has been in the past year and then decides what will happen within YFC's in the year to come. Members of every club are welcome to attend the AGM because thats what its all about after all - you, the member! Its your opinions that can make a difference.

The Annual Convention also plays host to many YFC competitions finals, for example the drama finals. This year there are bowling and freestyle disco dancing competitions aswell!
